How to Capture YouTube

Capturing Video Only

  1. Navigate to the YouTube video(s) you need.
  2. Copy the full URL from your browser’s address bar
  3. Log in to your Page Vault portal.
  4. Go to the Batch Tool and select the Video job type
  5. Paste the copied YouTube video URL(s) into the input field.
  6. You can paste multiple URLs at once, each on its own line, if you’re batch capturing several videos.
  7. View the completed captures in your Portal.

Capturing Video + PDF capture

  1. Copy the full URL of the YouTube video(s) you want to capture.
  2. Log in to your Page Vault Portal.
  3. Open the Batch Tool and select the Web Page job type.
  4. Paste the YouTube video URL(s) into the input field.
  5. Turn on the “Capture Embedded Videos” option in the job settings.
  6. Start the Batch job!
  7. Once complete, both the PDF of the webpage and the video file will appear in your Portal.

Capturing Entire Channel

  1. Navigate to the YouTube channel you want to capture using your regular browser.
  2. Click on the “Videos” tab to see all uploaded videos.
  3. Scroll down the page to load all videos (YouTube loads more content as you scroll).
  4. Use the Link Grabber browser extension to extract all video URLs from the page.
  5. Copy the list of video URLs from the extension.
  6. Log in to your Page Vault Portal and open the Batch Tool.
  7. Choose your preferred job type:
    1. Select “Web Page” and enable the “Capture Embedded Videos” option if you want both PDF and video files.
    2. Select “Video” if you only need video files.
  8. Paste the video URLs into a new Batch job.
  9. Start the Batch job and access your captures in your Portal once complete.
