Managing folders in Portal

Adding folders

  1. In the Portal, navigate to the folder that you would like to create a new folder in. If you’d like a top-level folder, click on “My Folders” in the left folder navigation.
  2. In the folder contents area, click on “New Folder”, type in a name for the folder, and click enter to save.

Move folders

In either the left folder navigation or the folder contents area, click and hold the folder and drag it over to the new folder location. You will see as you hover over the folder that the folder becomes highlighted. When you release the mouse click, it’s moved out of the original location and moved into the folder that was highlighted when you let go.

This action can be done in the left folder navigation menu, in the folder viewing pane, or crossed over between the two.

Rename a folder

Select the containing folder of the folder you want to rename. In the folder viewing pane, locate your folder, and click on the pen and paper icon next to the folder name.

Deleting folders

  1. To delete a folder, navigate to its containing folder. In the folder contents area, click on the checkbox next to the folder.
  2. Click “Delete Selected” from the folder contents view menu bar
  3. A confirmation notice will appear to confirm that you want to delete the folder. Click “Yes, delete it” to confirm.

WARNING! You will not be able to recover the selected folder(s), sub-folders, or any captures they contain! Page Vault can not provide an affidavit for a capture that has been deleted from your portal. Please be sure you are completely ready to delete the capture before doing so.
